Cruising
This isn’t cruising by bike, but a short vacation that we took to the Caribbean. We did see a bunch of mountain bikes waiting on the pier for guests of another ship. The bikes didn’t look that great and we couldn’t imagine where they would ride them in Grenada. There must be some stretches on the island that we aren’t familiar with that would be suitable for cycling. For our tastes, we will be satisfied with the thrill of the ride in a local bus. Can’t get anymore exciting than that.
Now that we are back to reality, it is probably time to start doing some more planning for the bicycling trip. Seems like that has taken a back seat to our home renovation project and vacations. The house is coming along nicely. We are finally hanging drywall, which is no easy task especially since none of the ceilings are square. It looks great to see a “finished” ceiling in the rooms and is much easier to envision the finished project although we always had envisioned it otherwise we never would have bought the house. This house definitely required looking beyond what was in front of us.
Once this house is finished we will be able to commit some more time to our cycling itinerary. We still haven’t decided a route to take us from Albany to Portland. May seems so much closer all of a sudden.
